What Wisdom I possess, I know not

I wish I could say something,
That would make you feel better,
But what wisdom I possess,
I know not.

The sacrifices made,
Seems so puny in front of you,
The smiles lost over the years,
Seems like a laughter in front of you.

A man sitting on top of a wall edge with a scenic view of mountains

I wish I could hug you tightly,
And tell you I am here,
But so far I sit today penning these thoughts,
Silence prevails.

So I pray for that day to come sooner,
When the rain stops,
And the clouds move on,
Leaving a bright yellow Sun,
To smile at you and say “Hello”.

Often looking, rather peeping out of the window, he gets lost in his thoughts and strolls back to that day which changed him fo...
