THERE'S A COFFIN IN MY HEART

There's a coffin in my heart,
With a dead soul inside,
He awakens like vampire,
Betrayal is his garlic,
And a hint of care is the only blood he seeks.

He once was a healthy soul,
A soul unlike any,
He cheered for others and loved so many,
Listened to the griefs, absorbing agony,
Made them smile, eased on the worry.

Yet he sleeps with pain and cries in agony,
Being a dead soul is of help?
Not any.
He still seeks the blood of care,
But fears betrayal.

So he lives a lonely life,
Desolation in his mind,
Putting a smile to the world, full of lies,
Hiding the darkness within, with a fake smile.

There's a coffin in my heart,
With a dead soul inside,
He awakens like a vampire,
But keeps on dying.

The Ignored Light

Source:Pixabay Trapped in a box, Of "know your place", I find my voice lost, In that deep ocean of internal struggle. I see the melting wax, I see the burning wick, But lost is the light, In the rays of a bulb. A light which would shine, A light which would bring smile, In dark houses and small alleys, I see it battling each day, With hope to win someday. Powerless, I stare at the flame with hope, Praying at the same time, For it to win someday, For it to win every day. ©onerandompoet

Cotton Candy - A short story

Credit: Stock photo By Anuja Tilj from Pixabay Walking down the beach side, She saw him lost in his thoughts, While the lady beside was counting coins, Life was visible on there faces, The pains they had endured she wondered, Must be the wrinkles she found herself counting, The constant salty breeze of the ocean, Sometimes made them move, But like the pull of a magnet, They would get back to business as usual. It’s been a childhood compulsion, For if she sees a cotton candy, She has to get one, Never really remembering, When it all started, All she remembers, She reaches out for one, Whenever she finds one, The world doesn't matter, Impressions doesn't matter, Cotton candies meant the world to her. Her parents never understood the compulsion, She remembers being schooled now and then, Even doctors were consulted, But after a while the nagging stopped, Parents stopped bugging her, She just guessed they understood he...

Amongst The Clouds I Travel

Credits: Instagram @im_p_s Amongst the clouds I travel, Remembering the destination, Waiting for the future to unravel, Via process of elimination. I can hear the thunders, And feel the tightening noose, While the closed eyes bring back the thunders, In life which were introduced. So I left the path of gravel, As my whole body sings "it's time for a change", Amongst the clouds I travel, To let the life rearrange. © onerandompoet
