Amongst The Clouds I Travel

Credits: Instagram @im_p_s Amongst the clouds I travel, Remembering the destination, Waiting for the future to unravel, Via process of elimination. I can hear the thunders, And feel the tightening noose, While the closed eyes bring back the thunders, In life which were introduced. So I left the path of gravel, As my whole body sings "it's time for a change", Amongst the clouds I travel, To let the life rearrange. © onerandompoet

For Today, I’ll stay in this euphoria

In this walk of life, I stood still waiting, Whilst you peeped out of the yellow auto, With a mischievous smile, Big enough to melt any “tough guy” character, What chance did I have against you? So here I am, Wrecked, Perplexed, With a mixture of confusion & joy, With no clue, I stare down the road, And watch you go away. From here on, Every yellow auto, Will bring up my heartbeat, Anticipating that mischievous smile, Oh why would you do that? Why would you do that to me? I’ll wonder. I’ll wonder from tomorrow. For today,  I’ll stay in this euphoria. © onerandompoet

What Wisdom I possess, I know not

I wish I could say something, That would make you feel better, But what wisdom I possess, I know not. The sacrifices made, Seems so puny in front of you, The smiles lost over the years, Seems like a laughter in front of you. I wish I could hug you tightly, And tell you I am here, But so far I sit today penning these thoughts, Silence prevails. So I pray for that day to come sooner, When the rain stops, And the clouds move on, Leaving a bright yellow Sun, To smile at you and say “Hello”. © onerandompoet

Closing my eyes

Closing my eyes, I travel back to the open roads, With clouds looming over the sky, A light breeze caressing my face. Closing my eyes, I hear the sounds I miss so dearly, Of the friends now far away, I hear them laugh, argue, embrace and smile. Closing my eyes, I dream! With nothing changed, I still see them, Exactly where we all were, as I reach out to embrace! And I wake up, Now with a broken dream, I am here in present again, There are clouds, But muddy are the roads, There is breeze, But humid is it’s nature.  © onerandompoet

Homeless

M ore often than not, He finds himself lost, In the middle of the day, In the middle of a thought, Staring blankly out of the window, At the blue sky, With patches of cloud. In the midst of these blank stares, Comes dreaded thoughts, Often leaving him wondering, About the future, Effect of the past. Having fought the battles over time, He knows there’s always a change to fight, There’s always a chance to be a hero, He wonders, Or a prisoner of war! And more often than not, He finds himself feeling, Like a prisoner of war, With battle scars imprinted for life, He finds himself locked behind bars, Of the past that now blinds the future. The question in his mind pinches every-time, Will he ever have the courage again? Will he ever find someone? Someone who’d listen? Someone to call,  Home! © onerandompoet

Shorty - Admiring You.

I remember that evening vividly, When I saw your first, Calling to the world, To look at you and your astounding beauty!! Wearing a gorgeous eye-catching garb, I was mesmerised, Like a boyish love, Excited I was, To see you, To say hello !! Side note: Few days back this Black-hooded oriole appeared in a tree outside my window. I was taken aback by its beauty which reminded me of... Black-hooded oriole © onerandompoet

The war against a virus

I don’t have to close my eyes anymore, To see the nightmare creep towards me, Slowly and slowly, Almost enjoying the fear, Rising in my body. I can feel the goosebumps, I can feel the helplessness, As I bring out everything, To shield, to protect, To build this fort of ours, Yet everything seems puny. I see known faces fall, I see known faces cry, A battle we will win, But the cost, Beyond imagination. Shiver runs down the spine, As I try to restrict my mind, To stop predicting the future, To stop its imaginations. Yet everything fails, When I see it lurking, From few feet away, Looking. Analyzing. A way in, Into this fort. A way past, The shields and protections. Often in battles we reach the point, Where fear becomes an ally, rather than an enemy, I feel inching towards that point, In this battle of ours, With lost hope, We are left with nothing to lose, And the end seems inevitable, So we do the only thing we can, FIGHT! We fight back with all our might! We may win to live! We may w...
