Reddish Sky

Credit: Iris Scott It's late into the night, All I did since last two hours, Is slip under the blanket in fear, While hoping this storm will ward off. As people screamed and shouted, My heart became a drummer. I gathered some courage, Enough to look outside my window, Eager to see who screams in this calamity. It seemed a havoc, The window totally unclear, Rain water formed a translucent filter. I managed to spot a whirlwind, In that Reddish Sky that appeared, As it approached the two human figures, Still shouting and screaming. Till now I thought, They were screaming in pain and fear, May be trying to find someone, Or just lost in the storm. Sounds now became clearer, As I stand near the window, They are fighting with each other, Facing each other, Ignoring the whirlwind that approached, A certain death they ignored.
